1) What is the school's dress code?

SunRise Academy's dress code policy was developed to deter the competition that students engage in with regards to designer clothing and shoes, as well as sloppy, inappropriately worn attire. Students wear khaki pants (blue, black or tan) with belts, polo style or round neck plain shirts (red, black, green, gold, burgundy, blue, white, etc. are acceptable colors) and laced shoes (tennis shoes are acceptable).

Inappropriate clothing includes:

  1. T-shirts with pictures of drugs, body parts, inappropriate slogans or images;
  2. Sweat pants, sweat suits, except when preparing for physical education;
  3. Head head gear in school - scarves, hats, caps, headbands etc.
